Here's an ultimate chocolate brownie recipe that is sure to satisfy your sweet cravings:

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (60g) cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips or chunks (semi-sweet or dark)

Optional add-ins:

  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, etc.)
  • 1/2 cup dried fruits (cherries, cranberries, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch (23x33 cm) baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

  2. In a microwave-safe bowl or on the stove, melt the butter completely. Allow it to cool slightly.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.

  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt until evenly combined.

  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until there are no more visible streaks of flour. Avoid over-mixing, as it can result in tough brownies.

  7. If you're adding nuts and dried fruits, gently fold them into the batter at this point.

  8. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

  9. Sprinkle the chocolate chips or chunks over the top of the batter, pressing them down slightly.

  10. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to over-bake as the brownies can dry out.

  11. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes.

  12. Once slightly cooled, you can lift the brownies out of the pan using the parchment paper and transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before cutting.

  13. Once fully cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your ultimate chocolate brownies!

These brownies are rich, fudgy, and absolutely delightful. Feel free to customize the recipe with your favorite mix-ins or serve them with a scoop of ice cream for an even more indulgent treat!
