Here's a recipe for a delicious Biscuit Strawberry Roll:

 



Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a jelly roll pan or a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the cold butter to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the sugar is dissolved.

  5. Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

  6. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, approximately 1/4 inch thick.

  7. Spread the sliced strawberries evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

  8. Starting from one of the long sides, tightly roll up the dough like a jelly roll, using the parchment paper to help you. Carefully transfer the roll onto the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until the Biscuit Strawberry Roll is golden brown.

  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet. Then, using the parchment paper, transfer the roll to a wire rack to cool completely.

  11. Once the roll is completely cooled, dust it with powdered sugar. Slice and serve!
