Here's a recipe for fajita pizza:

 Ingredients:

For the pizza dough:

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the fajita toppings:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon fajita seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the pizza sauce and cheese:

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Optional toppings: sliced jalapenos, sliced black olives, chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).

  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt for the pizza dough. Gradually add warm water and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.

  3. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the fajita toppings. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

  6. In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the bell peppers and onions until they become tender. Season with fajita seasoning, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

  7. Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to your desired pizza size and thickness.

  8. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a greased baking sheet or pizza stone. If you prefer a crispy crust, preheat the baking sheet or pizza stone in the oven for a few minutes before transferring the dough.

  9. In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, dried oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza dough.

  10. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, leaving a border around the edges for the crust.

  11. Distribute the cooked chicken and sautéed bell peppers and onions evenly over the cheese. If desired, add optional toppings like sliced jalapenos, black olives, or chopped cilantro.

  12. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  13. Once the pizza is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing.

  14. Serve the fajita pizza hot and enjoy!

Feel free to adjust the toppings and seasonings according to your taste preferences. Enjoy your homemade fajita pizza!
