Here's a simple recipe for fried fish:

 


Ingredients:

  • Fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or catfish)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well to combine the dry ingredients.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or skillet over medium-high heat. The oil should be about 1 inch deep.
  3. While the oil is heating, pat the fish fillets dry with paper towels. This will help the coating adhere better.
  4. Dredge each fish fillet in the flour mixture, making sure to coat it evenly on all sides. Shake off any excess flour.
  5. Carefully place the coated fish fillets into the hot oil. Be cautious to avoid splattering. Fry the fish for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. The cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets.
  6. Once the fish is cooked, use a slotted spoon or tongs to remove it from the oil and place it on a plate lined with paper towels. This will help absorb any excess oil.
  7. Serve the fried fish immediately while it's still hot. You can squeeze fresh lemon juice over the fish for added flavor, if desired.
  8. Enjoy your delicious homemade fried fish!

Note: Be careful while handling hot oil and always ensure the fish is cooked through before consuming. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
