Oreo ice cream is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the creaminess of ice cream with the crunchiness of Oreo cookies. Here's a simple recipe to make Oreo ice cream at home

 


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies (about 10-12 cookies)
  • 1/2 cup Oreo cookie chunks (optional, for extra texture)

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is well combined.
  2. If you want an even stronger Oreo flavor, you can add a few drops of Oreo or cookies and cream flavoring at this stage, though it's optional.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions. This process usually takes about 20-30 minutes, and the ice cream should have a soft-serve consistency when it's done.
  4. Add the crushed Oreo cookies and Oreo cookie chunks (if using) to the ice cream during the last few minutes of churning. This will incorporate the cookie pieces evenly into the ice cream.
  5. Once the ice cream has reached the desired consistency, transfer it to a lidded container.
  6. If you like larger chunks of Oreo cookies in your ice cream, you can gently fold in a few extra crushed cookies or cookie chunks before freezing.
  7. Place the container in the freezer for at least 2-3 hours to firm up the ice cream.
  8. When ready to serve, scoop the Oreo ice cream into bowls or cones, and enjoy your homemade Oreo ice cream!

Note: If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can still make this recipe by pouring the mixture into a lidded container and placing it in the freezer. Every 30 minutes, take the container out and stir the mixture vigorously to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this process for about 2-3 hours until the ice cream reaches the desired consistency.
